Why it matters

What this record proves

DKIM proves a message was not altered in transit by signing it with a private key that pairs with the public key in your DNS.

  • Find the selector your provider uses, then query selector._domainkey.yourdomain.
  • Confirm the key length is 2048 bits where your provider supports it.
  • Check the key resolves for every domain you send from, not just the primary.
  • Re-check after any provider migration — selectors change.
